For a long time Xitheon has exclusively and only accepted bitcoin in exchange for vps servers and web hosting services. After many inquiries regarding accepting new digital assets and cryptocurrencies due to astronomically high transaction fees periodically taking place on the bitcoin blockchain Xitheon has decided to start accepting alternatives.
Xitheon was originally reluctant to provide additional cryptocurrency support out of an abundance of caution. Verifying transactions on separate blockchains requires us to operate and maintain nodes for these newly accepted digital assets, or operate through a trusted provider of them. To ensure that clients experience the least amount of payment network downtime as possible when renewing their vps servers and web hosting subscription plans Xitheon has decided to integrate Coinbase Commerce as a payment gateway.
As of 3/10/2021, Xitheon (VPS host provider) accepts the following cryptocurrencies
- Bitcoin
- Bitcoin Cash
- Litecoin
- Ethereum
- Dai
- USDC
Bitcoin transactions are verified through Xitheon’s bitcoin node and BCH, LTC, ETH, DAI & USDC are verified through Coinbase Commerce. Users may also pay with Bitcoin through the Coinbase gateway.
Plans are in place to support additional digital assets including but not limited to specific NFTs, Ethereum Classic, Monero, Celo & Klaytn. Additional plans on supporting the Bitcoin Lightning Network to ease the burden of transaction fees on it’s clients are in place.
